Monarch Library System Interim Director

The Monarch Library System (MLS) Board of Trustees is seeking to fill an Interim System Director position for the period of approximately one year. MLS is a two-year old consolidated library system. The member counties of MLS are Dodge, Ozaukee, Sheboygan and Washington. The system serves 31 public libraries, Lakeland University Inc., the Sheboygan-Ozaukee Bookmobile and the Washington County Outreach librarian. These libraries serve the 416,850 people who live in these counties. Libraries range in size from the largest, Mead Public Library, to the smallest, Lowell Public Library in Dodge County. Hours, salary, and benefits are negotiable, commensurate with experience. We are looking for someone with a Master of Library Science degree from an ALA accredited university or equivalent, who is eligible for grade 1 Wisconsin public library certification. We would prefer a candidate who has 3 years of progressively responsible administrative and financial management responsibilities in a library or library system or equivalent.
