2019 Family Fun At Horicon Marsh

Join us for our 7th annual free event, 2019 Family Fun @ Horicon Marsh. On Saturday, June 29th from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., all are invited to spend the day at the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center, located between the cities of Horicon and Mayville on Highway 28. Also known as Library Day at the Marsh, local libraries join forces with the Wisconsin DNR to bring you a day filled with nature, hands-on learning and experiences, history of the Horicon Marsh, crafts, food, and fun. So much to see and do, this event is enjoyed by all ages!

New this year, there will be a special story time at 11 a.m. with Alaska the READ Therapy Dog. Event guests will have the opportunity to meet Alaska at the end of story time. Many other activities will continue throughout the event, including hands-on archery, complimentary access to the Horicon Marsh Explorium, wildlife walks, dip netting, a marsh scavenger hunt and challenge, face painting, photo booth, new crafts, a chance to win prizes, and more. Families are welcome to pack a picnic and have lunch at the marsh. Hot dogs, chips, baked goods and water will be available for purchase from 11am-1pm, hosted by the Friends of the Horicon Marsh.

This free family friendly event will be held rain or shine and includes both indoor and outdoor activities. There is ample parking available. The center will remain open until 5 p.m. with access to restrooms and a drinking fountain available until 7 p.m. The State Wildlife Area is open during daylight hours.
