The Monarch Digital Collection program was created to expand access to local historical material that previously had limited or no accessibility. The goal is to continue digitally preserving and promoting the histories of the four counties that make up Monarch Library System (Dodge, Ozaukee, Sheboygan, Washington) for a fuller and richer view of these communities and Wisconsin. This project was made possible through a 2014 Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant and through partnership with the ResCarta Foundation.
Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS): This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services [Grant: 14-59-9927-14-201-LSTA]. The Institute of Museum and Library Services is the primary source of federal support for the nation’s 123,000 libraries and 35,000 museums. ResCarta Foundation: This project was made possible in part by The ResCarta Foundation. The ResCarta Foundation, a non-profit organization, was founded to encourage the development of a single set of open community standards and open source implementations of those standards.
